CAREER ENCOUNTERS®:Healthcare Executives

Summary: Career Encounters: Healthcare Executives has been developed with oversight by the American College of Healthcare Executives with the advice of the Education and Professional Development Committee. It will be released in February 2000. The program features 10 interviews and lively footage of real people who have studied political science and who articulate how their political science backgrounds have been critical to their vocations, their avocations and their general public lives. The featured careers include law, business, journalism, NGO's, social services, interest groups, college faculty, high school teaching and appointed and elected office. One highlight of the program is an interview with Donna Shalala, Secretary of the Department of Health and human Services in the Clinton Administration.

With more than 13,000 members residing in over 70 countries, the American Political Science Association is the major organization worldwide for the study of politics, governments and public policies.
